The Town relies on its volunteer committee members to ensure that there is public participation and community representation in all areas of local government.

Are you interested in helping your community respond to and recover from flooding events? The Massachusetts Environmental Justice Flood Vulnerability project is looking for 2-3 Community Liaisons who will help identify creative, community-centered flooding solutions in West Springfield. Community Liaisons will join a cohort of other Liaisons across the state and help design and host 2-3 engagement events in their communities to identify a pilot flood mitigation project.

People who are multilingual or have strong connections to environmental justice communities within West Springfield are especially encouraged to participate. This position will require about 20 hours of work from February to May 2025 and Community Liaisons will be compensated for their time. If you are interested in being a Community Liaison, please submit this form.
