West Springfield, MA: The Town of West Springfield announces that nomination papers for the 2025 Town Elections will be available beginning Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Residents interested in participating in the democratic process by running for public office are encouraged to pick up their nomination papers and begin collecting the required signatures.  The papers with all required signatures must be returned by Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Nomination papers can be obtained in person at the Town Clerk's Office, located at 26 Central Street, Suite 8, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Candidates seeking the office of Mayor, Councilor-at-Large, or a seat on the School Committee must gather at least 100 valid signatures from registered voters. These signatures must include a minimum of 25 from each of the four voting districts in West Springfield. All nominators must be registered voters and residents of the Town at the address they provide on the nomination paper.

Candidates running for District Councilor must collect a minimum of 50 valid signatures from within the district they seek to represent. These candidates must also reside in the district. All nominators must be registered voters who live in the same district. 

The Town of West Springfield is divided into four voting districts: District 1 comprises Precincts 1 and 2; District 2 comprises Precincts 3 and 4; District 3 comprises Precincts 5 and 6; and District 4 comprises Precincts 7 and 8.  Residents who are unsure of their Precinct can search their address in the map here: https://tinyurl.com/wsprecinctmap
